The Parasocial Club was formed by Oliver Risch and Greg Bruick. Both with a desire for creating music in front of computers and programs but being able to bring the emotions, energy, and anger out these digital forms into the real world.The band was built out of a love of punk, hip hop and all sorts of digital music. The band grew legs throughout the year of 2019 culminating on multiple releases and a few exciting shows all coming to an intense halt at the beginning of the pandemic. Over a year of separation and virtual writing sessions came out the Isolation EP and a slew of small punk shows. In the past year the band has taken on their biggest project to date: A full length album that releases in the first quarter of 2023, taking on the energy of their live shows and more in-depth lyrical content, with enticing melodies and rhythms. Taking on the state of our world and our relationship to the news and social media. Nevermind the Lies.
